United signs 20-year lease extension at NJ's Newark airport, promises $150M in upgrades
NEWARK, N.J. (AP) -- United Airlines has signed a 20-year lease extension at New Jersey's Newark Liberty International Airport.
The Chicago-based airline says it will invest $150 million during the term of the lease in improvements, including improved baggage handling and concourse areas.
United is the largest carrier in New Jersey and New York, offering more than 400 flights daily from Newark and employs more than 13,000 workers in New Jersey's largest city.
