BlackBerry forms partnerships to offer end-to-end security

BlackBerry’s partnership with Samsung was major

In the previous part of this series, we discussed how BlackBerry (BBRY) managed to gain customers at a rapid rate, mainly because its BES12 software supports all the important mobile operating system platforms. During the last few months, BlackBerry also managed to forge partnerships with a number of companies to provide end-to-end security solutions to customers.

One of the major partnerships that BlackBerry announced was its partnership with Samsung (SSNLF) to provide secure solution for enterprises by integrating BES12 with Samsung’s mobile devices with KNOX. BlackBerry’s other partnerships details

BlackBerry also forged a major partnership with Boeing (BA) to provide secure mobile solutions for Android devices with BES12. BlackBerry further entered an agreement with Salesforce.com (CRM) to integrate its BES12 solution with Salesforce’s customer relationship management platform. BlackBerry partnered with a number of systems integrators, such as Accenture (ACN), for providing secure consulting and implementation solutions to customers.

Plus, BlackBerry partnered with a number of carriers and distributors. The major carriers that BlackBerry partnered with are Vodafone (VOD) and Canadian carriers such as Bell, Rogers, and TELUS (TU) to provide a secure platform for facilitating transactions between banks and consumers. Brightstar is the major distributor that BlackBerry has partnered with to re-sell its hardware and software products.
