This is what market technicians call “spitting distance.”
Yesterday’s Dow Close of 14,018.70 is roughly 1% away from that mark. For the record, the Dow is up 114% off its March 9, 2009 closing lows. And the futures are indicating that we’ll cross the record high soon after the open of New York trading.
