Last night, Ford sent out a whole batch of letters to prospective buyers of the 2017 GT. Thousands received the let-down letter, informing them that they haven't been selected to purchase a new GT.
But up to 500 lucky souls will open their email to find this joyful, resplendent letter, informing them of their newfound ability to purchase a brand-new GT.
The folks at Ford GT Forum started uploading screenshots of their letters last night. You can't blame them for being excited.

As DragTimes explains, a second wave of emails went out later yesterday evening to applicants who've been placed on the "priority" waiting list, while a third wave offered "deferred" opportunities to those who didn't quite make the cut.
Congratulations to all 500 of the lucky GT owners who now get to spend around $450,000 on their blue oval supercars.
