MGT Creates Hacker Advisory Board To Meet Cybersecurity Threats

MGT Capital Investments, Inc. (NYSE MKT: MGT) revealed the creation of a Hacker Advisory Board to help steer its technology in the ever changing field of cyber security threats. According to the company, the founding members of the board would be comprised of world renowned hackers Chris Roberts, Bryce Case and Alexander Heid.

MGT Capital said every board member comes with unparalleled insight into the types of threats the Company aims to combat through its acquisition and evolution of cybersecurity technology.

The company's Executive Chairman and CEO, John McAfee, commented, "Alexandre Fichet, designer of the first bank vault safe famously stated 'No one unschooled in the art of picking locks can design and build a decent safe.' It is with this principle in mind that we have enlisted world renowned hackers to advise in the development of our cybersecurity technology through our Hacker Advisory Board. We intend to leverage their talents to ensure MGT gains a clear advantage in the evolving landscape as new classes of cyber threats are identified."

He added, "The knowledge and experience of our three founding board members will help us to achieve our goals in providing absolute security to every individual and corporate entity that uses our products."

The stock traded 0.85 percent up on Friday.
