Park City named Utah's 'e-City'
Google confers 'e-City' title on Park City, Utah
PARK CITY, Utah (AP) -- Google Inc. is designating Park City as an "e-City" — a salute to its use of the Internet to drum up business.
Google will present the award to business leaders at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Park City Coffee Roaster at the Kimball Art Center.
The designation celebrates Park City as Utah's strongest online community.
Google is designating so-called digital capitals of America in each state.
Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, will join Park City Mayor Dana Williams for Friday's announcement by Google's small-business engagement director, Scott Levitan.
The mountain town is home to world-renowned ski resorts that hosted many events of the 2002 Winter Olympics.
