Pentair Wins Desalination Contracts
Pentair Ltd. (PNR) was recently awarded projects to supply equipment and technology to convert sea water to fresh water in desalination facilities in Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Oman and India. This will help deliver more than 500 million liters of clean water daily and meet the growing need for clean water in water-scarce regions.
Pentair’s products and technologies -- X-Flow ultrafiltration membranes, CodeLine membrane housings, Vanessa and Keystone valves, and Biffi and Alpha-Max actuators among others will be used for the projects.

Its proprietary membranes, membrane housings, pumps, valves, controls and filters can help create highly efficient, integrated solutions for a variety of customer needs.
Pentair will showcase its latest state-of–the art nanofiltration technology for drinking water treatment this summer). This will enable selective separation, eliminating certain contaminants like bacteria and humic acids while maintaining desired levels of healthy minerals or nutrients, such as calcium and magnesium. The technology can also treat wastewater. This technology offers better cost management than reverse osmosis and is more effective at removing contaminants than ultrafiltration processes.
