postPerspective Names Industry Veteran Dayna McCallum as Publisher

Newly Created Position to Support Expansion of Growing Media Entity

LOS ANGELES, CA and NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Mar 28, 2016) - postPerspective, the premier source of creative and technology intelligence for the post production and production industries, today announced it has appointed industry veteran Dayna McCallum as its publisher. In the newly created role, McCallum will support postPerspective's website, newsletter and events while developing expanded services under the umbrella of the company's publishing entity.

"Since its inception less than three years ago, postPerspective has become a force in the post production and production industries, digging in deep with artists, exploring workflows and detailing technology trends, while simultaneously helping to build community," said Randi Altman, postPerspective's Founder and Editor-in-Chief. "I have spent my entire adult life in this industry and cannot imagine doing anything else, and I know that Dayna feels the same way. There is not a person better suited or more qualified to help postPerspective grow in ways that will further our reach and increase our ability to cover and partner with our community. We are beyond thrilled to have her join our team."

For more than 15 years, McCallum has worked with many of the biggest names in post production and entertainment technology. Most recently, she served as Senior Strategist for ignite strategic communications, a full-service public relations and marketing consultancy specializing in entertainment technology, post production and the creative community. In this role, she helped guide the strategic marketing planning for some of the industry's most prestigious companies.

Previously, McCallum was the Vice President of Global Marketing and Communications for Ascent Media's Creative Services Group (now Deluxe), where she oversaw all marketing strategy and public relations outreach for the industry's largest collective of creative post production companies, including Company 3, Encore, Encore VFX and Todd-Soundelux. Her work with the company spanned the episodic television, feature film, commercial, DVD and entertainment technology markets in both the U.S. and the U.K. Prior to her nine years with Ascent Media, McCallum was involved with the launch of Westwind Media in Burbank.

"As things continue to evolve rapidly in the post industry, and as we converge more and more with production and distribution, we need a strong voice and a closely knit community," McCallum said. "In my opinion, in a very short time, postPerspective has become the leading publication in our industry. This is a very eventful period, and postPerspective is at the forefront of the coverage, sitting right at the crossroads where technology and artistry converge. We have a lot of plans in store as we look to grow and expand the publication and the services offered by our publishing entity, and I'm very excited and honored to be a part of it."

McCallum is actively involved with the HPA and serves as Co-Chair of the HPA Awards. She began her career in New York, where she worked for the Dodgers, one of Broadway's most successful producers, and is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College.
