PS4, Xbox One To Cost $250 In Limited-Time Offers
Microsoft on Saturday announced a price cut on all Xbox One and Xbox One S units, which makes the cost of the console $250. The price cut is effective Feb. 18-25 and the company’s effort matches up with Sony’s similar offer for the PlayStation 4, which is available for the same price since Feb. 12, till Feb. 25.
This is not the first time the two companies have sold the consoles with the same price tag. Previously, both the game consoles sold for the same price during the 2016 holiday season.
Additionally, customers will also get one game from Microsoft’s collection for free at checkout. They can select from “Watch Dogs,” “Hasbro Family Fun Pack,” “Assassin’s Creed Syndicate,” “The Crew” and “Just Dance 2016,” according to Destructoid.
Microsoft’s offer cuts across all the Xbox One and Xbox One S bundles. So if you are investing in one, the cost of the Xbox One in that bundle would be still $250 — for example, the newly launched 1TB Xbox One S “Halo Wars” Limited Edition Bundle will now cost $300 instead of its original pricing of $350.
Another bundle that consumers should look out for is the 500GB “Battlefield 1” Xbox One S, which comes with a one-month subscription to EA access. Its original price is $300 but it costs $250 during the offer period.
Customers can avail the offer at all major retailers, such as Amazon, Target, Best Buy, GameStop, Walmart and of course, the Microsoft Store.
The Xbox One S 500GB Console “Minecraft Favorites” Bundle was being sold at a price of $200 at the time of writing.
