Starbucks (SBUX) Brings Evolution Fresh Juices to Canada

Starbucks Corporation SBUX launched Evolution Fresh cold-pressed juices in more than 1,300 coffee shops across Canada. The juices will be available in four varieties — Orange, Sweet Berry, Sweet Greens and Super Green — and priced within $4.95 to $5.95.

The coffee giant has been able to fully capitalize on the Evolution Fresh Juice brand since its acquisition in Nov 2011. Evolution Fresh is a premium juice brand which uses only fresh and natural ingredients. The juices are never heated and prepared through the High Pressure Processing (HPP) technology which preserves the flavors and nutrients of the vegetable and fruits.

These juices are available at more than 15,000 points of distribution in the United States including grocery channels and Starbucks outlets.

Starbucks opened its first Evolution Fresh juice store in Bellevue, WA in Mar 2012. The company has also built a 264,000-square-foot juicery in California worth $70 million. This is the largest HPP juicery — in terms of sales — in the country.

Evolution Fresh juices are also available at supermarket chain, Whole Foods’ locations nationwide. Further, Starbucks has created Greek yogurt products under the Evolution Fresh brand in partnership with dairy products maker, Danone. The items were rolled out in grocery stores in Aug 2015.
