United Technologies, Champion Aerospace Ink Supply Contract
United Technologies Corporation UTX has signed a life-of-program long-term supply agreement with Champion Aerospace LLC in support of its planned aerospace production ramp-up.
Champion Aerospace is a wholly-owned subsidiary of TransDigm Group Incorporated TDG, and a dominant maker and supplier of aircraft ignition system technology and airframe power solutions globally. It caters to almost all commercial, piston and military aircraft in service at present.
The UTV2 long-term supply agreements offer Life of Program contracts for igniters, ignition leads and exciters, and this contract positions Champion Aerospace as one of United Technologies' favoured sources for ignition systems components globally.
United Technologies’ UTC Aerospace Systems will use these components in numerous programs including Embraer E-Jets E2, Bombardier C Series, F-35 Lightning II, Mitsubishi MRJ, Airbus A320neo and many Pratt & Whitney Canada engines and APUs.
In addition, Champion Aerospace is actively involved in the UTC Supplier Gold program and aims to achieve Certified Gold status within the next two years. It is committed to adhering to the conglomerate’s high standards for quality and performance and on time delivery, and is devoted to the UTV2 cost-savings initiative and UTC contractual Governance program.
