Facebook Retakes 50-Day, LinkedIn Gaps Up Solidly

Facebook and LinkedIn are making big moves in the stock market Wednesday. Social networking giant Facebook's popular photo-sharing app Instagram on Tuesday said it is now expanding its advertiser base outside of select brands. Advertisers can also target consumers by zip code or interest and posts can include external link buttons to shop and buy. Facebook shares jumped 3.5% in above average volume Wednesday afternoon, retaking the 50-day line. LinkedIn is trading well off of its highs after disappointing earnings, but shares gapped up 4.3% intraday in fast trade. JPMorgan on Wednesday added the professional networking site to its "Focus List." Earlier this week, reports said activist investors were looking at LinkedIn to shake things up.
