General Motors' Recalls Hamper Stock with Rivals Knocking

General Motors' shares have had a rough go of 2014, especially factoring in the last month. The automaker's stock is hovering around the $30-a-share mark, putting the stock down since its re-debut on public markets in 2010. Worse still, the company is lagging U.S. automakers, as well as international competitors. Next, the company will need to impress with its earnings, but when Oct. 23 comes around, a big miss could mean big pain for General Motors' stockholders. Today's Chart of the Day has room to run -- but only as long as its recalls don't send investors running from its shares.
