Jobs Report, Foot Locker Earnings: What to Watch on Wall Street March 6

Wall Street will be watching for the February jobs report released at 8:30am eastern from the Bureau of Labor Statistics on March 6. Economists expect job growth of 230,000, compared to the 257,000 jobs created in January. Investors will also be looking to see if the previous jobs reports have been revised higher. Aside from jobs, the latest reading on average hourly earnings is revealed in Friday's report. As for corporate earnings, Staples (SPLS), Big Lots (BIG) and biopharma company Chimerix (CMRX) report before the opening bell, along with Foot Locker (FL). Wall Street is looking for earnings per share of $0.91 on sales of $1.9 billion for the athletic footwear company. TheStreet's Scott Gamm reports from New York.
