Integrating Beats Music and Beats Electronics into the Apple ecosystem could potentially revive the iTunes platform and strengthen brand recognition with the association of Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine, Stephanie Link and Jill Malandrino point out. Link and Jim Cramer own shares of Apple in the Action Alerts Plus portfolio, but Link mentions that the stock is up 40% in the last year and would not necessarily buy it up here. That said, second half of the year product cycles will kick in and it may not all be priced into the shares just yet because we really don’t know how much of a game changer the iPhone 6, watch or home products will be.
