Amdocs Inks Tata Communication Deal
Amdocs Limited (DOX), the leading customer experience systems and service provider, announced that network giant Tata Communication Limited (TCL) has tapped Amdocs resource manager – a segment of Amdocs – to consolidate its worldwide network inventory and to help the India-based company get a global view of its network resources.
We believe that this deal will facilitate Tata Communications to provide improved services to its four thousand enterprise customers.
The deal will help Tata Communications to reduce average time taken to market new products and services by almost 75% as well as trim down its order fallout by formalizing and automating the complex service for its enterprise line of businesses.
These advantages will assist the company to improve the billing experience and service reliability to its enterprise customers. Additionally, the deal will significantly reduce the company’s operating cost and provide faster solutions to the customer’s network related problems.
Amdocs’s service fulfillment solutions will help Tata Communications divide a customer order into numerous sub orders. It would also help Tata Communications to verify the status of the order, thus providing data integrity. One of the unique features of this solution is that it supports all technologies, devices, and services and thus can be used in all networks.
Another benefit for Tata Communications is that Amdocs will act as the system integrator for the project and will connect 17 different systems, thus providing complete data migration and refining.
In 2005, Tata Communications deployed Amdocs’s Operating Support systems (:OSS) to manage its broadband, wholesale voice and enterprise and carrier data offerings in India, thus marking the start of Amdocs’ association with Tata Communication.
In addition, Tata Communications has already installed Amdocs fulfillment solution in India. We believe that through this deal, Tata will expand its network coverage in North America and thus make way for a two way operational facility.

We are maintaining our long-term Neutral recommendation on Amdocs Limited. Currently, Amdocs limited and Tata Communication Limited has a Zacks #3 Rank, implying a short-term hold rating on the stock.
