Anna Faris has offered to officiate Chris Pratt's wedding to Katherine Schwarzenegger following their engagement.

(Yeah, we're pretty sure she was joking.)

Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris revealed on Monday (January 14) that he had popped the question to Katherine Schwarzenegger, daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger, just over a year after announcing his separation from Anna.

Speaking on her podcast Unqualified, Anna has now revealed that Chris texted her after popping the question to Katherine.

She explained: "Chris texted me this morning and he was like, 'I proposed to Katherine last night'. And I was like, 'Ahh, that’s amazing'. And I texted him back like, 'I just wanted to remind you I’m an ordained minister'... I’m not very good at it.

"I do want to be open with my dear listeners," she added. "And I do want to congratulate Chris and Katherine, so I love you guys. I do love you, and congratulations – I'm thrilled.

"They're both f**king amazing people. I'm so happy."

Love to see it. #CommentsByCelebs

Anna also said that she's "so happy for them", adding: "I knew that it was gonna happen and I love her and I love him and I’m just so happy that they found each other."

Commenting on his initial Instagram post announcing the engagement, Anna wrote: "I'm so happy for you both!! Congratulations!"

The former couple parted ways in September 2017 and share six-year-old son Jack together. Anna and Chris finalised their divorce in 2018.

On her podcast, Anna previously said: "Chris and I work really hard 'cos we have Jack, that is sort of the long game idea and making sure Jack is really happy, which makes us really happy.

"We have sort of the luxury of circumstance. You know, we are both in other loving relationships. But it's like, how do you not in general sink into a place of bitterness?"
