VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) _ B2Gold Corp. (BTG) on Tuesday reported second-quarter profit of $20.8 million.

On a per-share basis, the Vancouver, British Columbia-based company said it had net income of 2 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 5 cents per share.

The results matched Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 5 cents per share.

The gold, silver and copper miner posted revenue of $284.8 million in the period.

The company's shares closed at $2.41. A year ago, they were trading at $2.40.
