Camping World: 2Q Earnings Snapshot

LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill. (AP) _ Camping World Holdings Inc. (CWH) on Tuesday reported second-quarter net income of $28 million.

On a per-share basis, the Lincolnshire, Illinois-based company said it had profit of 72 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 96 cents per share.

The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.02 per share.

The recreational vehicle retailer and services provider posted revenue of $1.45 billion in the period, which also did not meet Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.48 billion.

Camping World shares have decreased 50 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $22.21, a decrease of 33 percent in the last 12 months.
