China Distance: Fiscal 2Q Earnings Snapshot

BEIJING (AP) _ China Distance Education Holdings Ltd. (DL) on Wednesday reported a loss of $3.9 million in its fiscal second quarter.

The Beijing-based company said it had a loss of 10 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for stock option expense, were 7 cents per share.

The online education company posted revenue of $38.8 million in the period.

China Distance expects full-year revenue in the range of $208.3 million to $216.7 million.

China Distance shares have dropped 7% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $6.22, a decline of 22% in the last 12 months.
