CSS Industries: Fiscal 3Q Earnings Snapshot

PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa. (AP) _ CSS Industries Inc. (CSS) on Thursday reported a fiscal third-quarter loss of $6.8 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

The Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania-based company said it had a loss of 77 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for pretax expenses and non-recurring costs, came to 74 cents per share.

The maker of gift wrap, gift bags and greeting cards posted revenue of $133.2 million in the period.

CSS Industries expects full-year revenue in the range of $390 million to $400 million.

CSS Industries shares have increased nearly 3 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $9.22, a decrease of 62 percent in the last 12 months.
