ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) _ Evolving Systems Inc. (EVOL) on Thursday reported a loss of $16 million in its fourth quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Englewood, Colorado-based company said it had a loss of $1.32. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 17 cents per share.

The provider of software services to the wireless, wire-line and cable markets posted revenue of $6.9 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported a loss of $14.8 million, or $1.22 per share, swinging to a loss in the period. Revenue was reported as $30.6 million.

In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, the company's shares hit $1.24. A year ago, they were trading at $4.25.
