InterDigital: 1Q Earnings Snapshot

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) _ InterDigital Inc. (IDCC) on Thursday reported a first-quarter loss of $2.8 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

The Wilmington, Delaware-based company said it had a loss of 9 cents per share.

The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 6 cents per share.

The wireless research and development company posted revenue of $68.6 million in the period.

InterDigital shares have declined 1% since the beginning of the year. The stock has declined 13% in the last 12 months.
