Who Is Jamie Linden? Five Things to Know About Rachel McAdams' Boyfriend
Rachel McAdams’ is pregnant, according to a new report.
The actress, 39, is expecting her first child with longtime boyfriend Jamie Linden, E! News reports. Her rep has yet comment on the reported pregnancy. The two were first linked in 2016 when they were spotted walking together in Paris.
So who is Linden? Here are five things to know about McAdams’ man.
He’s a filmmaker
Linden, 37, got his start in Hollywood in 2006 when his script for We Are Marshall was turned into a movie starring Matthew McConaughey. He is also known for writing the screenplay for the film adaption of Nicholas Sparks’ Dear John and he made his directorial debut in 2011 with the film 10 Years — both starring Channing Tatum.
He has since gone on to work with Hollywood heavyweights including George Clooney and Julia Roberts on Money Monster, and Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley on the upcoming sci-fi movie Chaos Walking.
He previously dated Zooey Deschanel
Linden dated the New Girl star from 2014 to 2016. Deschanel is now married to Jacob Pechenik, with whom she shares daughter Elsie, 2, and son Charlie, 9 months.
He’s a Florida native
Linden grew up in Winter Park, Florida and attended Lake Howell high school alongside Scott Potter. He later enrolled at Florida State University where he majored in Digital Media Production and Marketing. He moved to the west coast after graduating college in 2001.
He was once a contestant on The Price is Right
After graduating college, Linden and his friends traveled to Los Angeles with tickets to the game show. “I won $5,000 and a Tuscan wine server cart. So I decided to stay,” Linden said in an interview with Florida State University’s College of Communication and Information’s Alumni News. “I got a temp job reading screenplays and was fascinated by them. I was hired and fired from a few assistant jobs so I figured I’d try writing a script myself.”
His relationship with McAdams’ has been low key from the start
Though the couple has been dating for over a year, they have never walked a red carpet together.

In June 2016, the couple attended a wedding together in Virginia. The two were snapped posing for a photo with the bride and a group of guests during the nuptials. McAdams stunned in a red dress as she cozied up beside Linden, who looked sharp in a dark suit.
McAdams and Linden were also spotted together in Paris just ahead of the screenwriter’s appearance at the Cannes Film Festival for his film Money Monster, which he wrote the script for. The two were spotted getting cozy as they waited in line for the famous Louvre art museum.
