Did John Boyega just reveal a princely 'Star Wars' cameo?
On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the host busted out photos of Prince William and Prince Harry visiting the set of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. John Boyega, better known as Finn from the sequel trilogy, was sort of impressed when he met his British overlords. Fallon asked, “Did you freak out? Because I know you’re from London.” Boyega said, “No, I mean, you know, I don’t know — the royal family has just been a part of culture so it’s like, ‘Oh, cool, there you are.’”
The photos were leaked back in 2016, and there’s been speculation that the princes might be making royal cameos as Stormtroopers in Star Wars Episode VIII. And though Boyega didn’t put the cameo rumors to rest, he didn’t not put them to rest, saying, “There’s loads of rumors, man. But, you know, it’s a hard secret to keep. The royal family in the Star Wars universe? I’m sure they wouldn’t be able to keep that secret. I know nothing.”
