Marks Paneth LLP Acquires Accounting Firm With Valuation, International Tax and High Net Worth Expertise

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Mar 30, 2015) - Marks Paneth LLP (FY14 net revenue of $101 million) has acquired Fischer Barr & Wissinger, LLC (FY14 net revenue of $3.5 million), a Parsippany, New Jersey-based full service accounting firm, effective February 1, 2015. With this acquisition, Marks Paneth, the New York City-headquartered accounting firm and the 35th largest in the U.S., expands its growing list of offices to include New Jersey.

Fischer Barr & Wissinger focuses on the areas of tax planning, business and medical practice valuation, litigation support, accounting, auditing and consulting services. Its international tax and high-net-worth capabilities enhance the already strong expertise Marks Paneth offers its clients in these areas of specialization. The firm now operates under the Marks Paneth name.

He will advise clients on business valuation disputes relevant to economic damages, mergers and acquisitions, and changing regulatory requirements in the healthcare industry.
