Masimo: 3Q Earnings Snapshot

IRVINE, Calif. (AP) _ Masimo Corp. (MASI) on Wednesday reported third-quarter profit of $57.1 million.

The Irvine, California-based company said it had net income of $1.02 per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 71 cents per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 68 cents per share.

The medical technology company posted revenue of $210.6 million in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $206.3 million.

Masimo expects full-year earnings to be $2.92 per share, with revenue expected to be $854 million.

Masimo shares have climbed 37 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $116.06, an increase of 32 percent in the last 12 months.
