PROVO, Utah (AP) _ Nu Skin Enterprises Inc. (NUS) on Thursday reported second-quarter net income of $51 million.
The Provo, Utah-based company said it had profit of 90 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were $1.08 per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 90 cents per share.
The seller of skin care and nutritional products through a direct-selling model posted revenue of $704.2 million in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $641.4 million.
For the current quarter ending in October, Nu Skin said it expects revenue in the range of $650 million to $670 million.
The company expects full-year earnings to be $3.50 to $3.65 per share, with revenue ranging from $2.63 billion to $2.67 billion.
Nu Skin shares have increased 11 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed 22 percent in the last 12 months.
