Paycom: 3Q Earnings Snapshot

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Paycom Software Inc. (PAYC) on Tuesday reported third-quarter earnings of $28.8 million.

On a per-share basis, the Oklahoma City-based company said it had profit of 49 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 52 cents per share.

The results matched Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of nine analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 52 cents per share.

The maker of human-resources and payroll software posted revenue of $133.3 million in the period, which beat Street forecasts. Seven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $130.5 million.

For the current quarter ending in December, Paycom said it expects revenue in the range of $142.5 million to $144.5 million.

The company expects full-year revenue in the range of $558.5 million to $560.5 million.

Paycom shares have increased 61 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $129.25, a climb of 58 percent in the last 12 months.
