Meghan Markle's Suits days are long over, but the show found a clever way to pay tribute to her role as duchess now and the fate of her character Rachel in the show's final season. In the fifth episode, Meghan's on-screen husband, Patrick J. Adams who plays Mike Ross (and also left the show when she did), made a cameo.

When lawyer Katrina Bennett (Amanda Schull) asked Mike how Rachel was doing, he responded that she's doing "good, in fact, if I told you how good you probably wouldn't believe me." (Their characters had moved to Seattle from New York City to open a legal aid clinic at the end of their last season.)

Suits' Twitter account shared a GIF of the big moment and added a cheeky caption. "Turns out Rachel is doing REALLY well. #Suits," the show wrote. Of course she is: Meghan, the woman behind Rachel, is married to a prince now.

The SussexRoyal Instagram account (which Meghan is rumored to run) hasn't responded to the tribute, and Meghan remains on maternity leave for now. The Duchess of Sussex did speak about her decision to give up acting in her engagement interview with Harry.

"I don’t see it as giving anything up. I just see it as a change," she said. "It’s a new chapter, right? And also keep in mind that I’ve been working on my show for seven years. We’re very very fortunate to have that kind of longevity in a series." She added that once she hit the 100th episode of Suits, she felt like she had accomplished what she wanted to on it. "Now it’s time to work as a team with you," she said, looking straight at then-fiancé.
