A student at Francis Howell Central High School in St Charles, Mo. drove through the school’s entrance early Wednesday morning, school district officials report. The crash ensured that classes, and the ACT — a standardized test used for college admissions — scheduled for that day were canceled.

“[The SUV] got probably 30 feet inside the front door,” district spokesman Matt Deichmann told the St. Louis Post Dispatch.

According to KSDK, the Ford Flex plowed through the entrance of the school at 3:45 a.m. The 16-year-old involved in the crash "wasn't injured too badly," and walked away from the car. He was found on the grass outside. Cottleville police chief Steve James said the boy was taken to the hospital, and the case will be turned over to juvenile authorities.

“He just went through the front doors,” James said. “He did not drive around inside the school.” The student has not yet been interviewed by authorities and there is no known motive.

The car, which remained inside the school until after 8 a.m. due to safety concerns surrounding the gas remaining in the tank, was eventually removed from the hallway.

Despite the dangerous incident, some on social media were praising the student.

"What we all wanted to do but never had the courage to actually do it ... if you say you didn’t want to come up with a plan YOU LYIN!!" one person shared on Facebook. Another captioned a Snapchat photo with "No ACT [thank you] for crashing into school."

Others tried to deduce who was behind the wheel.

After inspecting the building, the fire marshal deemed that the entrance was structurally safe and that the school will be reopened on Thursday.

The ACT will be rescheduled.
