Arconic Inc.'s shares closed up a modest 0.84% on Monday. Law firm Lifshitz & Miller has announced an investigation on the company on behalf of Arconic investors. The lawsuit comes after Arconic's announcement that the company would stop global sales of certain facade panels that contained combustible polyethylene cores. These panels had been used on the facade of the Grenfell Tower in London that caught on fire and killed 79 people. Apparently the combustible panels had helped spread the fire rapidly. The fire occurred in the early hours on June 14th and needed more than 200 firefighters to fight it. The Metropolitan police has said that they will consider manslaughter, health and safety and fire safety charges.

Arconic had said in a statement, "While we publish general usage guidelines, regulations and codes vary by country and need to be determined by the local building code experts," the company said in an emailed statement in response to the Reuters inquiry. "The loss of lives, injuries and destruction following the Grenfell Tower fire are devastating, and we would like to express our deepest sympathies to everyone affected by this tragedy ... We will fully support the authorities as they investigate this tragedy."
