TransDigm: Fiscal 3Q Earnings Snapshot

CLEVELAND (AP) _ TransDigm Group Inc. (TDG) on Tuesday reported fiscal third-quarter earnings of $217.2 million.

The Cleveland-based company said it had net income of $3.91 per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $4.01 per share.

The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $4.06 per share.

The aircraft components maker posted revenue of $980.7 million in the period, which also missed Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1 billion.

TransDigm expects full-year earnings in the range of $17.45 to $17.77 per share, with revenue in the range of $3.78 billion to $3.82 billion.

TransDigm shares have climbed 34 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 32 percent in the last 12 months.
