The Grade's Brand Ambassador, Lauren Urasek, Appeared On The Program To Offer Dating Tips And Strategies

NEW YORK, NY / ACCESSWIRE / January 13, 2016 / The Grade, a patent-pending mobile dating application designed to bring accountability to dating, owned by Snap Interactive, Inc. (OTCQB: STVI), is proud to congratulate its brand ambassador, Lauren Urasek, on her appearance on Good Morning America this morning discuss her online dating tips, including using The Grade's 'Photo Stats' feature to help singles identify which of their profile photos is most flattering. The Grade recently did a study analyzing which types of photos performed the best and worst which can be found here: Best and Worst Types Of Online Dating Photos.

Cliff Lerner, President of The Grade, stated, "As the most 'popular' woman in online dating, Lauren has been an invaluable resource for The Grade, using her personal experiences to advise us in furthering The Grade's mission of creating a community of highly desirable singles. We're excited to see Lauren share her tips on using The Grade's unique 'Photo Stats' feature on Good Morning America to help singles determine which photos others find most appealing."

Lerner continued, "Singles have been testing their photos on dating sites for years to see which photo gets the most attention, but they haven't had the proper tools to show them which of their photos perform the best and worst with actual data to back it up. The data showing the performance of each photo is extremely valuable for singles, because they often don't know which photo is the most attractive to prospective matches."

The Grade demonstrated the benefits of 'Photo Stats' by analyzing the like-rates of over 2,000 users' profile photos and 800,000 swipe interactions to quantify the photo characteristics that were liked the most and least by the opposite sex. The data revealed that photos with the highest like-rates for females were those that included singing/playing an instrument, performing a sports activity or wearing a bikini. These particular elements resulted with like-rates of (+29%), (+21%) and (+8%), respectively, compared to the average photo for females. The photos with the lowest like-rate percentages for females were those with tattoos (-35%), dogs (-19%) and eye-glasses (-14%).

For males, the photo characteristics with the highest like-rates included professional headshots (+92%), facial hair (+57%) and dogs (+29%). The worst photos for males were group shots (-33%), hats (-25%) and not looking into the camera (-21%).

About The Grade

The Grade, owned by Snap Interactive, Inc. (STVI), is an entertaining, patent-pending, female-friendly mobile dating application that holds users accountable for their behavior by using a proprietary algorithm that assigns letter grades to users ranging from "A+" to "F" based on profile quality, responsiveness, and peer-reviews generated from the opinions received from other users. Users with a grade of "D" or "F" receive a warning and instructions on how to improve their grade, while users who maintain an "F" grade are expelled. Expelled users have the ability to "appeal" the decision by providing compelling reasons why they should be allowed back; however, re-entry is not guaranteed. By expelling low-quality users who receive an "F" grade, The Grade aims to create a community of high-quality users who are desirable, articulate and responsive.
The core concept of The Grade, in bringing accountability to dating, was informed by market research that revealed a deep dissatisfaction amongst singles of current popular mobile dating offerings. A recurring theme, particularly from women using mobile apps, was that they were unhappy with the quantity of low-quality daters and the frequency of inappropriate, hostile, and sexually suggestive messages.
