World Surveillance Group's Global Telesat Subsidiary Expands International Footprint Through New Asset Tracking Agreements

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FL--(Marketwired - Oct 1, 2013) - Global Telesat Corp. ("GTC"), a wholly owned subsidiary of World Surveillance Group Inc. (OTCQB: WSGI), a developer of lighter-than-air aerostats and unmanned aerial systems, has closed new business agreements with multiple clients to provide asset tracking services throughout Asia and other international regions. The contract awards will result in a significant increase in the number of asset tracking devices currently managed by GTC, together with an increase in recurring monthly revenue produced by the messaging plans required for each device put into service.

The agreements require GTC to provide specialized satellite tracking devices, satellite airtime and online mapping capabilities to organizations wishing to locate and monitor the movements of a variety of mobile assets across the world. These asset tracking contract requirements include locating shipping containers, commercial cargo vessels and high-altitude balloons.

GTC will provide specialized satellite tracking hardware operating on the Iridium and Globalstar networks, together with airtime and access to its proprietary mapping portal, GTCTrack, which enables the tracking devices to be visually located and monitored by customers in near real-time from a PC or mobile device. The tracking devices provided by GTC will send predefined messages with their respective GPS locations and other information required by customers to track the beginning or end of an asset's journey or its movement out of a pre-authorized zone.
