March 19 (Reuters) - Canada's Brookfield Asset Management said on Tuesday former Goldman Sachs executive and insider Hadley Peer Marshall will succeed chief financial officer Bahir Manios, effective May 31.

Marshall joined Brookfield Asset Management in New York in 2015 and most recently co-headed infrastructure debt and structured solutions.

She has previously served as vice president at Goldman Sachs and worked at Citigroup and Credit Suisse, according to her LinkedIn profile.

CFO Manios has served in the role since the company was spun out of Brookfield Corp in 2022. Manios had joined Brookfield in 2004 and has served in a variety of senior roles.

The appointment comes at a time Brookfield is actively raising money for its infrastructure focused funds as demand for such investments has increased, since these funds offer better protection from market volatility and economic turbulence.

In December, it raised a record $28 billion for its largest-ever fund. The company, which manages over $900 billion in assets, is already exploring a new infrastructure fund, according to a media report.
