Two elderly men sneaked out of their nursing home on Friday to go to the world’s biggest heavy metal music festival.

After being reported missing, according to the Deutsche Well, the elderly metal-heads were found by police around 3 a.m. in the middle of the Wacken Open Air festival in Germany.

The festival in the town of Wacken was sold out and had an estimated attendance of about 75,000. The two aging rockers were discovered “disorientated and dazed” at the event — however, they apparently didn’t want to leave.

They were ushered into a taxi, which was given a police escort back to the nursing home. “The care home quickly organized return transport after police picked them up,” police spokeswoman Merle Neufeld said. “They obviously liked the metal festival.”

The line-up at Wacken Open Air over the weekend included acts such as Judas Priest and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Although the festival is usually known for its muddy fields, there were warning of fires issued amid Europe’s heatwave.
