EVANSVILLE − Hungry? Well, you shouldn't be. Evansville and the surrounding area saw a whopping 46 restaurants and food trucks open in 2023. How many have you visited?
Barker Brewhouse
The Barker Brewhouse is a family-friendly pub and nano brewery serving craft beer and light snacks from local makers. Food trucks are often in attendance, and well-behaved, leashed dogs are always welcome inside and outside.

Bobaccino’s Cafe
Bobaccino's Cafe combines the best of a bubble tea shop, breakfast and lunch cafe, bakery and smashburger restaurant. It's worth going just for the biscuits and pastries, but there's nothing wrong with grabbing a burger and bubble tea for dinner either.

Bodine’s Newsstand
This new truck specializes in hand battered fish with hand cut fresh chips (the malt vinegar mayo is a must). Burgers, gyros, and other sandwiches are on the menu as well as specials, such as Irish soda bread by the loaf.

Bodega Market Luncheria & Groceries
Bodega Market offers convenience packaged foods both American and Latin as well as a lunch counter where patrons may enjoy anything from a fruit cup to a foot long Mexcian street hot dog to special soups on the weekends.

The Brass Ring bar and restaurant in Haubstadt opened a pizza kitchen that serves in tandem with the original menu, which features burgers, chicken tenders, fried shrimp and your favorite pub appetizers.

The Brisket Biscuit truck specializes in - you guessed it, big biscuit sandwiches and tender beef brisket. The entrees have a breakfasty feel and include breakfast bowls, egg and cheesesteak on a long bun, biscuits and gravy and more.

The Caffeine Machine truck serves up your favorite hot and iced coffee and espresso beverages, frappes, tea, flavored sodas and more.

Chef P LLC
Chef P serves inside the American Legion on North Fares Avenue. The menu offers burgers, loaded fries, street tacos, appetizers and sandwiches with fun weekend specials and occasional carry-out tamales. New to the menu are pulled pork dishes and carnitas. Chef P also caters.

Dive Barge
The Dive Barge bar and restaurant is on a literal barge tethered on the Ohio River next to the Marina Pointe nightclub, where it is only open during the summer and fall months. The menu is surprisingly large for the tiny kitchen, with wings, sandwiches and burgers, and a late night specialty taco menu.

Downtown Grill
The Downtown Grill is inside the Main Street Food & Beverage Food Hall in Downtown Evansville. On the menu are gourmet hot dogs, stuffed potatoes, hand cut fries, and globally inspired sandwiches from a Cuban to an East Coast Italian sub and hot beef and chicken Philly sandwiches.

Honey Moon Coffee Co. opened a large new coffee shop and headquarters building that also houses sister company Evansville Coffee Company's roastery. Watch coffee being roasted while you enjoy a coffee beverage and breakfast, a bubble waffle or light sandwich.

Olea Fusion Bistro
Olea in Henderson fuses flavors from Greek and Spanish cuisine to create their own take on Mediterranean food. Dishes include sweet potato nachos, smoky spanish salmon, a shrimp tower appetizer with guacamole and cucumber pico salsa, and many more.

Osaka Newburgh

Parlor Doughnuts opened a new doughnut and coffee shop, headquarters building, franchisee training center, and roastery for sister business Proper Coffee downtown in Evansville. Stop in for your favorite breakfast sandwich or taco, avocado toast, a coffee drink, shake, or a fluffy, layered Parlor Doughnut with your favorite toppings.

Prime Sports
Prime Sports in Newburgh runs a greaseless kitchen with no fried items. Have an appetizer of smoked wings, buffalo bleu cheese dip or breadsticks before your pizza, salad, wrap or sandwich.

Says restaurant in New Harmony shares space with Sara's Wine Bar and is open Thursday - Sunday. The menu is worldly and ever changing, but be prepared to see onion soup topped with a cheesy crouton and other inspired soups, sandwiches, and entrees from enchiladas to glazed salmon to chicken pot pie.

The Sunrise Cafe family restaurant serves a huge menu of diner style breakfast, lunch and dinner entrees. On the menu are omelets, breakfast burritos, breakfast skillets, sandwiches and salads, burgers, and homey favorites such as smothered chopped seak, chicken fried chicken and baby beef liver with onions and gravy.

Thai Bistro & Bar
The owners of the former Thai Papaya restaurant opened their own space off Lloyd Expressway, now called Thai Bistro & Bar. The menu changed significantly in the switch. You'll still find Thai restaurant classics such as Pad Thai and curries, but now you'll find unique new dishes such as larb tod - fried fritters of ground pork with spices; steamed mussels in coconut broth; Thai crispy pork belly, and a ribeye steak served with Panang curry.

Thai Orchids
Thai Orchids is serving Thai cuisine from an adaptable menu that permits the diner to pick among chicken, pork, beef, shrimp, vegetables or tofu for almost any entree. Examples are the "Ultimate Ginger" dish with shredded ginger, mushrooms and veggies in a light brown sauce and a "Cashew Nut" dish with cashews, celery and veggies in sweet chili sauce and curry paste. That Place
That Place opened in the Main Street Food & Beverage Hall, serving a menu of healthy and vegetarian-friendly dishes including creative entree salads, sandwiches, soups, and "bowls." The food hall location has closed and the concept is being retooled for a food truck. In the meantime watch the Facebook page for pop ups and more information.
Travelers Deli
This sandwich-focused food truck serves up a menu of cold sandwiches including subs, clubs, chicken and egg salad; and hot pressed sandwiches including the Cubano, a pimento pressed cheese and a reuben among others. Sides include potato salad, cucumber and tomato salad, and slaw.
