LUXEMBOURG (AP) _ Adecoagro SA (AGRO) on Tuesday reported a first-quarter loss of $3.2 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Luxembourg-based company said it had a loss of 3 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 17 cents per share.

The producer of agricultural products and renewable energy posted revenue of $159.8 million in the period.

Adecoagro shares have declined 6.5% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $6.51, a fall of 19% in the last 12 months.
