DUBLIN (AP) — DUBLIN (AP) — AerCap Holdings NV (AER) on Friday reported fourth-quarter net income of $1.11 billion.

On a per-share basis, the Dublin-based company said it had net income of $5.37. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to $3.11 per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $2.44 per share.

The airplane leasing company posted revenue of $1.9 billion in the period.

For the year, the company reported net income of $3.14 billion, or $13.78 per share, swinging to a profit in the period. Revenue was reported as $7.58 billion.

AerCap shares have increased almost 6% since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed 31% in the last 12 months.
