Arsenal transfer news round-up: Dani Ceballos, Wilfried Zaha and Dani Ceballos all on Gunners' radar

Tottenham Hotspur are apparently in talks to sign Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid.The Spanish U21 midfielder starred at the recent U21 European Championships but could be available with Real Madrid looking to cash in on some of their fringe players this summer.Sky Sports report that Spurs are looking into that possibility but say a short-term move is more likely.They say that Ceballos' release clause and that he still has four more years remaining on his contract make a loan switch for the season the better option.Liverpool have also shown interest in the 22-year-old but Mauricio Pochettino is determined to get his man.Elsewhere Spurs could look at another of Real's supporting cast with a move for Mariano Diaz mooted.The former Lyon forward is another who is available this summer after the 13-time European champions' spending spree.The club are in need of a new forward option following Fernando Llorente's exit.And AS report that Diaz could be the man.Tottenham have not yet made any concrete approach for Roma's supremely talented forward Nicolo Zaniolo despite being heavily linked with the wonderkid.Zaniolo, 20, is one of the most sought-after players in Europe having made a huge impression already in his short career with bis boyhood club.Spurs are reported to be at the front of the queue for his signature and would be able to offer him a significant pay-rise, and are even prepared to throw in Toby Alderweireld into a deal worth up to £20m, which would tempt Roma having sold centre-half Kostas Manolas to Napoli. But Zaniolo's agent has revealed there is yet to be a formal approach for his player. Claudio Vigorelli was quoted by Calciomercato, saying: "To date, as far as we are concerned, no negotiations are underway with any international or Italian club."He added: "We have heard a lot about Zaniolo, Roma and his contract in recent weeks.Given the media attention to which Nicolo was subjected at national and international level, it is important to make some clarifications."Nicolo is a heritage of Roma who believed in his talent first and foremost. This is why it is essential to build together the most suitable path to enhance it and continue the extraordinary growth path also in the next season."Roma are aware that there is plenty of interest, not least from rivals Juventus, and would prefer to sell abroad. Talks over Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso have stalled, according to Sky Sports News.The 23-year-old Argentina international is one of Pochettino’s top targets this summer and is seen as a ready-made replacement for Christian Eriksen, should the Dane depart for the bright lights of Real Madrid.But Betis are holding firm over their £70m valuation of Lo Celso, who last season scored 16 goals and registered six assistant in 46 matches for the club.That’s more than Tottenham are currently prepared to spend, with the club needed to sell some deadwood before they can finance another huge move.Speaking of Eriksen. Sky Sports say that Spurs can't sign any more players until the Dane is sold.Real remain his top suitors but they say that until he departs Pochettino won't have any more money to spend after shattering the club's transfer record for Tanguy Ndombele.Spain U21 international Dani Olmo has also emerged as a target for Pochettino’s side. Olmo currently plays in Croatia with Dynamo Zagreb and would cost £22m, according to Mucho Deporte.Olmo is also being targeted by Manchester United, however, Spurs reportedly already have an agreement with the player’s agent.The Daily Mail report that Fulham full-back Ryan Sessegnon remains a target. Like their top-six rivals, Arsenal have been making the transfer headlines with player after player linked to the club.

First up today: Kieran Tierney. According to reports, Celtic have rejected Arsenal's opening offer of £15m for the Scot.

The Gunners have identified the Celtic left-back as a realistic target this summer, and Celtic would reluctantly accept a fee if Arsenal meet their valuation.

But that is well above the £15m opening bid made by the Londoners, and Sky Sports reports that it has been met with a firm rejection from the Scottish Premiership champions.

Meanwhile, the club is considering cashing in on Lucas Torreira after AC Milan made a first bid for the midfielder, claim Italian outlet Sport Mediaset.

Torreira has made it clear that he is struggling to adapt to life in England, raising the interest of a number of suitors on the continent.

Arsenal are continuing to chase Yannick Carrasco as they look to bring in a winger.

The Belgian's agent confirmed over the weekend that the Gunners are one of several interested clubs but Dalian’s stance keeps changing. The Chinese side are currently insisting he is not for sale.

According to The Sun, Unai Emery is set to ask Arsenal chiefs for the money to try and sign Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha.

With just £45m available to spend this summer, Arsenal are limited for transfer options but it's been reported that Emery is eager to push for cash.

The Sun claims that Palace are demanding in excess of £55m for Zaha.

Lastly, Real Madrid have slapped a £44m asking fee on Dani Ceballos.

Both Arsenal and Tottenham have been linked to him in recent weeks, with the midfielder set to leave the Bernabeu.

According to AS, Madrid won't accept anything less than £44m for the midfielder.
