Atlantic American: Q4 Earnings Snapshot

ATLANTA (AP) _ Atlantic American Corp. (AAME) on Tuesday reported fourth-quarter profit of $11.8 million.

The Atlanta-based company said it had profit of 54 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, were 16 cents per share.

The insurance company posted revenue of $59.9 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported net income of $12.2 million, or 56 cents per share, swinging to a profit in the period. Revenue was reported as $195.3 million.

Atlantic American shares have more than doubled since the beginning of the year. The stock has more than doubled in the last 12 months.
