AtriCure: 4Q Earnings Snapshot
MASON, Ohio (AP) _ AtriCure Inc. (ATRC) on Tuesday reported a loss of $18.6 million in its fourth quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Mason, Ohio-based company said it had a loss of 42 cents.
The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 29 cents per share.
The medical device maker posted revenue of $57.7 million in the period, which also missed Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $57.9 million.
For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $48.2 million, or $1.14 per share. Revenue was reported as $206.5 million.
For the current quarter ending in April, AtriCure expects its results to range from a loss of 39 cents per share to a loss of 36 cents per share.
The company said it expects revenue in the range of $55 million to $57 million for the fiscal first quarter.
AtriCure expects a full-year loss of $1.15 per share, with revenue expected to be $250 million.
AtriCure shares have risen 12% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $62.25, a rise of 62% in the last 12 months.
