Authorities issue new appeal for help in case of missing Morristown woman

MORRISTOWN — Morris County authorities said Tuesday that they continue to search for a local woman missing for more than three weeks, who has now failed to appear for two scheduled court dates.

Imani Glover, 25, missed a second court appearance Monday after an initial absence Jan. 3, according to a statement from the Morris County Prosecutor's Office. Both appearances involved "charges relating to controlled dangerous substances, hindering and tampering," Meghan Knab, a spokeswoman for the prosecutor's office, said by email.

Police announced Glover's disappearance on Jan. 18. On Tuesday, the Prosecutor's Office said she was last seen by a family member on Jan. 4 in the area of 239 West 15th St. in New York City. Her mother reported her missing to Morristown Police Jan. 8.

Morristown police and the county prosecutor have been investigating Glover's disappearance along with several other law enforcement organizations, including agencies in New York. Glover has ties to East Orange, Newark and Irvington, as well as the Harlem neighborhood of New York, authorities said.

Another woman, Destiny Owens, 29, of East Orange, was reported missing Dec. 24 and may be with Glover. The two women were reportedly seen near Newark Penn Station Jan. 15, but the search for both is ongoing.

Glover is 5-foot-3 and 160 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She has a tattoo on her left wrist featuring the word "Shantia" and another tattoo on the back of her neck. Owens is 5-foot-6 and 140 pounds.
