RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Bandwidth Inc. (BAND) on Wednesday reported a fourth-quarter loss of $10.9 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

The Raleigh, North Carolina-based company said it had a loss of 42 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 38 cents per share.

The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 24 cents per share.

The enterprise software developer posted revenue of $165.4 million in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $154.1 million.

For the year, the company reported a loss of $16.3 million, or 64 cents per share, swinging to a loss in the period. Revenue was reported as $601.1 million.

For the current quarter ending in March, Bandwidth said it expects revenue in the range of $164 million to $166 million.

The company expects full-year revenue in the range of $695 million to $705 million.

Bandwidth shares have decreased 16% since the beginning of the year. The stock has fallen 22% in the last 12 months.
