Beauty and Wellness Company PDC Brands Names New General Counsel

The beauty and wellness products company PDC Brands announced Friday it had hired an experienced intellectual property attorney as its general counsel.

Matthew Wagner started the role in October, according to his LinkedIn profile, but the company just made the announcement Friday. It is not immediately clear whom he replaces.

He will report directly to James Stammer, the CEO of PDC Brands, and be responsible for all legal aspects of the company.

Before joining PDC, Wagner worked as a partner at Diserio Martin O'Connor & Castiglioni, according to his LinkedIn profile. While at Diserio, he was chair of the firmā€™s intellectual property practice. Over the past decade he has served as a nonexecutive secretary on PDCā€™s board of directors as outside counsel. He has also been chairman of Fairfield, Connecticutā€™s Town Plan and Zoning Commission since 2013. Wagner graduated from Western New England University Law School in 1996.

Based in Stamford, Connecticut, PDC owns the brands Calgon, The Healing Garden, Cantu and Dr Teal's.
