Beautycounter, Charlotte Tilbury and Makeup Revolution Were the Most-Searched Beauty Brands of 2018

I'm actually shocked.·Teen Vogue

2018 was a year that brought with it some brand new beauty brands, while others were secured in our daily routine for years to come. There are the forever go-tos, the new additions, and the re-discovered favorites. From major brands like L’Oreal and Shiseido to makeup artist greats like Charlotte Tilbury and Pat McGrath, Google has tracked all the most-searched beauty brands of the year and compiled a list that has informed us of habits we didn’t even realize we had. The top trending brand, though, is one that might surprise you.

Topping the list for the past year was Beautycounter, a healthier alternative to all things beauty and wellness. The data collection by the search engine suggests that we as consumers were much more interested in seeking out clean beauty alternatives than ever before. According to Beautycounter’s website, they have “prohibited the use of more than 1,500 questionable or harmful chemicals through “The Never List” — all while ensuring [their] products preform and that they’re as indulgent as any other luxe shampoo, lipstick, or oil in the market.”

The silver medal, as it stands, went to Charlotte Tilbury, followed by Makeup Revolution, Thrive Causemetics, Pat McGrath, and more. Find the top ten below — is your favorite on the list?
