In 2023, Beyoncé made it even more apparent that she is a powerhouse. Now, her lyrics that state she “just might be a Black Bill Gates in the making” are more timely for the artist as her net worth has increased.

Beyoncé is one of the most powerful women in the world who has gone above and beyond her time in Destiny’s Child and cemented herself as a solo artist, businesswoman, and arguably amongst the best performers of all time.

Additionally, she has become an investor in various companies, both on her own and as part of her marriage with her longtime husband, Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter. Plus, the artist has earned her accolades and accomplishments while being a mother to three children — Blue Ivy, Rumi, and Sir Carter.

On Dec. 13, Forbes reported that the global superstar “is well on her way to becoming a billionaire” as Beyoncé has reached a net worth of an estimated $800 million. In 2022, AFROTECH shared that her estimated net worth was $500 million.

The key factors behind the big jump in Beyoncé’s wealth includes her earnings of an estimated $100 million post-tax from the Renaissance World Tour, according to Forbes.

In December, it was announced that the record-breaking tour was named as the biggest Billboard Boxscore earner for 2023 at over $579 million. What’s more, it’s one of its top 10 tours of all time — making her the only woman, Black musician and American solo artist on the list — per Billboard.

In addition to the Renaissance World Tour revenue, Forbes estimates that Beyoncé’s music catalog is worth $300 million and the estimate for her art collection has also been updated.

The rest of Beyoncé’s $800 million net worth includes personal assets she shares with Jay-Z, such as their real estate portfolio worth around $320 million.

The outlet details that the power couple’s $200 million Malibu mansion is said “to be the most expensive home in California history.”

While Beyoncé is on her way to joining Jay-Z in reaching billionaire status, she has closed off 2023 with a bang.

In celebration of the Renaissance World Tour having wrapped up, “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé” hit theaters on Dec. 1. Beyoncé described the making of the concert film as “one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.”

The tireless dedication paid off as its debut hit No. 1 at the box office and $21 million in North American ticket sales per AP News.
