LIMA, Peru (AP) — LIMA, Peru (AP) — Compania de Minas Buenaventura SAA (BVN) on Thursday reported a fourth-quarter loss of $9.8 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

The Lima, Peru-based company said it had a loss of 4 cents per share. Losses, adjusted to account for discontinued operations, came to 1 cent per share.

The miner posted revenue of $253.8 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported profit of $19.9 million, or 8 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $823.8 million.

Buenaventura shares have fallen roughly 1% since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased 82% in the last 12 months.
