U.S. Bank, Minneapolis, announced Joe Persichetti has been named head of its new Healthcare Business Banking, a cross-business initiative to serve health care practices with up to $25 million in annual revenue.

Piper Sandler Cos., a Minneapolis-based national investment bank, announced that Tim Carter, chief financial officer, will retire in the first quarter of 2024. Kate Clune has been selected to succeed him. Previously, Clune spent 16 years at Morgan Stanley.

The office of Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison announced the following staff changes: Jerome Rankine becomes senior communications advisor; Brian Evans named press secretary; executive assistant Alex Boutrous also joins the communications team, and former Outreach Coordinator Keaon Dousti named assistant attorney general. … The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development announced the appointment of Greg Norfleet as director of the state’s Paid Family and Medical Leave program. Norfleet previously was chief operating officer for the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care.
